Kara is a seventeen year old girl with a passion for horses. She has been riding English hunters for eight years and believes in Natural Horsemanship. She tries to work every day/weekend at Cane Creek Farm, training her two year old- Jolly. Duensing says "He's like my best friend. I don't ask him to do anything for me unless we're both are in it together". She now also works with her new colt Duncan. He's only a couple months old but she believes in starting them early as can be with human interaction! Come along on her journey with her horses: Single Barrel Scotch aka "Jolly" and Jewels Smokin Dun aka "Duncan"!
Winter is coming.
Brr! It has been getting so chilly out! Jolly's winter coat is starting to grow & I've had to keep the caked mud out of it. I'm going to be winter blanket shopping for him within the next two weeks since it's getting extremely cold during the night. When he was only about six-nine months he was blanketed during the winter because it was 20 degrees outside. My big boy has exploded in height since then, he's as tall as some two year olds he's pastured with!
